Founded by renowned collector and memorabilia expert Scott Stimell, Cardboard Memories has earned its reputation as one of Long Island’s premier destinations for authentic sports collectibles, rare trading cards, and elite autographed memorabilia. For more than three decades, Scott has dedicated his life to the hobby, building a business founded on expertise, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity.
What began as a passion for collecting has grown into one of the most respected memorabilia retailers in the country. Collectors, athletes, and sports fans alike trust Cardboard Memories because they know every item we offer meets the highest standards. Our reputation has been built one customer at a time through honesty, transparency, and exceptional service.

Each autographed item is obtained directly from the athlete or through trusted industry partners—never from questionable secondary sources. If Scott isn’t confident an item is 100% authentic, it simply won’t be offered for sale.
Scott’s expertise extends beyond the retail floor. He has served as a consultant for James Spence Authentication (JSA), one of the most respected authentication companies in the industry. His trained eye, extensive network, and decades of hands-on experience provide customers with complete confidence and peace of mind when investing in collectibles.

These relationships allow us to consistently offer some of the finest and most sought-after collectibles available anywhere.
Scott’s passion and expertise have also earned national recognition. He was featured on the hit Netflix series The King of Collectibles, appearing in the premiere episode released in April 2023. Fans may also recognize him from years of appearances in New York Islanders MSG Network commercials, as well as features on HBO’s Real Sports, ABC’s Ball Boys, and even a cameo appearance in the feature film The Brawler.
Beyond the world of collecting, Cardboard Memories is deeply committed to giving back. We proudly support charitable organizations and fundraising efforts across the country, helping raise significant funds through exclusive memorabilia auctions and events.
