ABOUT ED NUSSBAUM

Ed studied at Washington University St. Louis School of Fine Arts. The Korean War interrupted his studies and he served in the Air Force. In Okinawa Ed received an award for his sketching. He then went to Parsons School of Design in New York on a scholarship majoring in Graphic Design and Advertising, graduating with Honors. After marrying, Ed worked for ABC Television as an Art Director. He moved on to work for several of the country's largest Advertising agencies as Art/Creative Director. He also owned his own successful agency specializing in television related companies. He has won awards from the Art Directors' Club the TV Clio Festival, the Type Directors' Club, the One Show, the Advertising Club and the ANDY Awards.

He started doing paper sculptures when he got the chance. The work has been used for ads and magazines. He has also produced three children's books and a pop-up book "The Horror Hall of Fame" which was for a television production company. He supervised the printing in Cali, Columbia.

After retiring ed did art work full time, establishing an art and design studio, "Big League Graphics" where he continued to execute paper sculptures and drawings for clients. He has exhibited his work at several galleries in New York State and the Gallery at Lincoln Center. A large print of the U.S. Presidents was sent to President Obama. Several pieces are in the collections of top corporate executives.

Some of the caricaturists that Ed admires are David Levine, Steve Brodner and Al Hirschfeld who saw some of his work and asked him to make a Marilyn Monroe for him. Which we have !!
