This Official American League baseball has been personally hand signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Jim "Catfish" Hunter. One of the premier pitchers of his era, Hunter was an eight-time All-Star, five-time World Series Champion, and winner of the American League Cy Young Award in 1974. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987 and remains one of the most respected pitchers in Yankees and Athletics history.

Hunter played a key role in the Yankees' championship teams of the late 1970s and was the first modern free agent signing to make a major impact in Major League Baseball. His signature is highly sought after due to his Hall of Fame career and his passing in 1999.

The autograph has been signed in blue ballpoint pen on an Official American League Bobby Brown baseball. Authentication is provided by JSA (James Spence Authentication) and includes the matching JSA Letter of Authenticity.
