1973 New York Mets NLCS Champions special 34 James Gallagher big stick baseball bat. with "we Believed plaque"
Item Description - this is a special 34 inch Big stick baseball bat commemorating the 1973 NLCS Champion New York MEts. This is a special bat made for James Gallagher (former Cubs GM and Sports writer). This bat was only given out to people who were associated with the team. The bat has a plaque stating "New York Mets 1973 National League Champions" & "We Believed" - which is reference's Tug McGraw's famous phrase regarding the Mets - "Ya Gotta Believe". Hall of Famer Tom Seaver won the Cy Young award that season going 18-3 with a 2.57 ERA.
