Ron Hunt Mets Signed Official Baseball W/Case 1st Met All Star Auto Steiner COA

This Ron Hunt autographed Official Major League Baseball is a fantastic piece of early New York Mets memorabilia commemorating Hunt’s place in franchise history. Hunt has hand signed the baseball in blue ink and added the inscription “1st Met All Star 1964,” celebrating his selection to the 1964 National League All-Star team.

The baseball is an Official Major League Baseball manufactured by Rawlings and features the official MLB markings. Hunt’s autograph and inscription are authenticated by Steiner Sports, with the Steiner authentication hologram affixed directly to the baseball and the accompanying Steiner Certificate of Authenticity included.

Hunt became the first New York Mets player selected to start an MLB All-Star Game when he earned the starting second-base position for the National League in 1964. His selection was especially significant for the young Mets franchise, which had begun play only two years earlier in 1962. The “1st Met All Star 1964” inscription makes this baseball a particularly meaningful piece of early Mets history.

The signed baseball comes housed in the clear protective display case shown, complete with a gold-tone “RON HUNT” nameplate on the front. The case provides an attractive, ready-to-display presentation while helping protect the baseball and signature from handling and dust.
