This outstanding 16x20 black-and-white photograph captures legendary Boston Red Sox slugger Ted Williams in the on-deck circle, preparing for his next at-bat. Williams has beautifully hand-signed the photo in bold blue ink, with his impressive signature running vertically across his legs. The photograph features a green diamond authentication hologram in the lower left corner.
Known as “The Splendid Splinter,” Ted Williams was a 19-time All-Star, two-time American League MVP, six-time batting champion, and the last Major League player to hit over .400 in a season, batting .406 in 1941. A first-ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest pure hitters in baseball history, Williams remains an American sports icon.
This is a fantastic, vintage-style action photograph with a bold, eye-catching signature. A wonderful piece of baseball history and an excellent addition to any Ted Williams, Boston Red Sox, or Hall of Fame memorabilia collection!
