This beautiful Official Major League Baseball has been hand-signed by legendary left-handed pitcher Tommy John and personally inscribed “288 Wins,” commemorating his remarkable career victory total. John enjoyed an extraordinary 26-season Major League career from 1963 through 1989, finishing with a 288–231 record, a 3.34 ERA and four All-Star selections. His legacy extends far beyond his statistics, as his successful return from the groundbreaking 1974 elbow reconstruction performed by Dr. Frank Jobe led to the procedure becoming universally known as “Tommy John surgery.”
John passed away on August 15, 2026, at age 83, making signed pieces from this baseball and sports-medicine pioneer especially meaningful to collectors. This baseball presents beautifully and features a bold blue autograph along with the desirable “288 Wins” inscription. The signature has been fully authenticated by Steiner Sports Memorabilia, with the matching Steiner hologram affixed to the baseball and the original Steiner Certificate of Authenticity card included.
